ASSA ABLOY Hospitality seeks experienced Embedded Software Developer


ASSA ABLOY Hospitality R&D seeks a creative, skilled and experienced embedded programmer to work in one of our skilled and cross disciplined product development teams. We work with products from idea, concept, design, industrialization, verification and through launch. We have a broad product specter that includes mechanic, electronic and software disciplines.  The products are manufactured and assembled in our own facility in Shanghai, and are sold globally to international customers.


We use SAFe, Agile and Lean development methodologies. The positions are located in Stockholm, Sweden in one of our teams that focuses on the development of the access control system of the future.


The Job

You will be developing software that will be embedded in our own developed hardware, mainly in environments as RTOS, but also Linux and our own development environments.

You will be a key resource in embedded development and work closely with our System Architect team and ASSA ABLOY’s central platform specialists. 

You will make unit tests, work with Continuous Integration and any other tasks that supports and secure your team’s delivery.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master or Bachelor degree in computer science or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from embedded software development
  • Good knowledge and experience of:
  • Embedded software development using various MCUs and related tools
  • Programming in C/C++
  • Embedded OS such as RTOS
  • Version control systems (Git, Subversion)
  • Continuous Integration (TeamCity, Jenkins)
  • Preferably some knowledge and experience of
    • IoT
    • Radio communication (BLE, ZigBee ++)
    • Agile methodologies and tools (SAFe, Atlassian Jira and Confluence)
    • Creative, solution oriented, practical sense and the ability to finalize tasks
    • Strong team player: - performs well independently, but even better in a team
    • Good skills in oral and written in English in addition to one of the Scandinavian languages


Some travelling, mostly within Scandinavia, will be required when the situation allows it.
