Director and Head of Information & Cyber Security

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is a business unit within our Global Technologies division that provides safe and sustainable cutting-edge technology solutions for physical and digital access management control. We develop demand‑specific solutions that address customer needs across multiple verticals. Through direct customer relationships and a strong global presence, we create scalable solutions delivering a seamless experience. We are currently around 3 800 employees and constantly growing both organically and through acquisitions across our eight business areas.

We are now looking for a Director and Head of Information & Cyber Security, to define, govern, and continuously strengthen the information and cyber security posture of Global Solutions. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the SVP & Chief Technology Officer of the division. The role operates in a highly decentralised, global environment, where business areas retain accountability for execution while this role provides strategic leadership, governance, and assurance across the business.

The location for this role is flexible within the Global Solutions footprint within Europe and includes international travel.

This role suits a senior security leader who combines strategic perspective with pragmatism, is comfortable influencing without direct line control, and sees security as an enabler of sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and own the Global Solutions information and cyber security strategy, aligned with divisional objectives and Group security requirements
  • Establish and maintain a clear divisional security operating model, including roles, responsibilities, and governance forums
  • Provide senior advisory support to divisional leadership on material cyber risks, incidents, and regulatory exposure
  • Drive a consistent risk and assurance framework across business areas, enabling transparency and comparability
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and legislative requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIS2, CRA, AI Act, Data Act) without constraining business agility
  • Strengthen cyber resilience across the division, including incident preparedness, response, and recovery
  • Enable business areas through shared tooling, standards, reference architectures, and access to specialist security expertise
  • Represent Global Solutions in Group‑level security governance and collaboration forums
  • Act as a visible leader and role model for a security‑by‑design and risk‑aware culture

To succeed in this role, you bring

  • Senior leadership experience in information and/or cyber security within large, decentralised, international organisations
  • Proven ability to design and operate governance and operating models without centralised control
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting global technology and product organisations
  • Experience managing material cyber incidents and executive‑level risk discussions
  • High credibility with senior stakeholders and strong communication skills
  • A pragmatic mindset, balancing security, risk, and business needs

Experience from matrixed or divisional organisations, and certifications such as CISSP or CISM, are considered an advantage.
