What you would do as our Compliance Officer EMEIA

The Divisional Compliance Officer will report to the ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Vice-President & General Counsel EMEIA and shall oversee compliance matters across the division. The successful candidate can be based from one of our sites across Europe.

You would also:

  • Act as a key member of the Legal & Compliance function, supporting in the development, implementation and ongoing oversight of the Group’s compliance programs including anti-corruption, anti-trust and export control/trade sanctions and help identify, manage and solve compliance risks, and advise on compliance topics.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve the EMEIA Division’s compliance programs and keep abreast of relevant regulatory developments across the EMEIA Division, raise awareness and adoption of compliance programs through regular compliance training.
  • Continuously follow up on the processes, procedures and implementation of compliance policies and report the results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with the M&A Team and external advisors for compliance due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Conduct compliance investigations and anti-corruption reviews in conjunction with Internal Audit and external consultants, regularly reporting on such matters to the Group’s Code of Conduct Committee and professionally manage communications with regulators as may be deemed necessary.

...and any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of Group objectives.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Is educated to at least a degree level in a relevant subject, preferably legal qualification and has minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar position, prior experience in internal audit or working with internal controls is an advantage.
  • Has experience working in the Manufacturing or Engineering industry in an international environment (would be a distinct advantage) and is proficient in MS Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • Has excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the business and ability to work under pressure, make decisions and produce results with limited supervision.
  • Is a self-starter with an ability to manage multiple priorities and I prepared to travel within the region and occasionally outside of it.
