What will you do as our Business Development Manager
You will drive Group-wide projects withing strategy and business development, as well as supporting in delivering market insights to senior stakeholder of the group. In these projects you will work closely with Commercial and M&A Development in all divisions as well as with Director of Strategy and Business Development and Group Chief Commercial Officer. In this role you will regularly interact with the members of the Group Management and get exposed to senior leaders within the Group which offers great career opportunities for future General Management positions or functional roles.

 

You would also:

  • Support the Group strategy development process by creating presentations for internal and external stakeholders and by driving or facilitating strategy workshops and sessions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within the group innovation and group sustainability team
  • Evaluate new business opportunities through the development of strategic reports and market studies for new markets or product areas.
  • Project manage Group-wide commercial development projects in areas such as digital transformation, e-business, branding, pricing, sales excellence
  • Establish and maintain a library of insights through analysis of industry, market and customer trends, and competitors’ activities. 

 

The skills and experience you need

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 2-7 years of management consulting or business development experience in a similar or adjacent industry, e.g. security, construction, industrial goods, etc.
  • Master degree in engineering and/or business/finance/economics.
  • Experience from projects within strategy, due diligence and sales & marketing
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to influence complicated and delicate business issues through extensive internal -and sometimes external- interactions.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with tact and diplomacy to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language, both written and spoken, required. Other languages a clear plus given the global nature of the role.
  • Position may involve travel according to project type and duration.

 

Experience working with international, cross-functional and cross-cultural teams or have lived and worked in other countries is considered a plus but not a prerequisite.
