AI Catalyst

Are you passionate about turning innovative ideas into tangible AI solutions that create real business impact? ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is looking for an AI Catalyst to join our growing team and help shape the next generation of AI-driven initiatives across the organization.

In this role, you will work closely with business teams to explore, validate, and advance AI use cases, from the earliest ideas to proofs-of-concept. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery, orchestrating collaboration between internal teams, external vendors, and the group-wide AI program. This role offers a unique opportunity to help build a new AI capability within a global organization, inspiring innovation and increasing AI literacy across functions.

You’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional environment, working with AI experts, business stakeholders, internal developers, and global partners. In this role, you’ll thrive in a culture that values engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous learning, empowering you to build a career you can be proud of.

Flexibility for the right candidate to be located in Sweden, the UK, Germany, or Spain.

What you will do as our AI Catalyst

As an AI Catalyst, you will turn AI ideas into concrete opportunities and support early-stage delivery, guiding stakeholders while ensuring alignment with responsible AI practices and organizational priorities. You will also help establish frameworks, intake processes, and best practices for AI initiatives.

You would also:

  • Lead AI use case discovery and pre-study execution, supporting business teams from initial idea through defined scope and potential proof-of-concept.
  • Conduct pre-studies, including requirement gathering, data and feasibility assessments, and identification of risks.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and documentation, structuring engagement with stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Guide business stakeholders through AI intake processes and help prioritize initiatives in collaboration with the AI steering committee.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners, including the group-wide AI program, Microsoft, Google, and other technology providers.
  • Support responsible AI practices and governance by ensuring alignment with internal policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Contribute to building AI literacy and inspiring innovation through communities, demos, and sharing learnings across the organization.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, early-phase discovery, or innovation, ideally with exposure to AI or data-driven projects.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Conceptual understanding of AI and machine learning, including chatbots, AI agents, and solution design—not necessarily deep technical expertise.
  • Experience working with vendors, cross-functional programs, or internal AI teams.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written).

The ideal candidate has experience delivering AI or data-driven projects, even at a small scale, such as proofs-of-concept, chatbots, or automation initiatives. They are familiar with governance frameworks and operating models for emerging technologies, enabling them to guide initiatives responsibly while aligning with organizational policies. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires navigating a large global organization, inspiring teams, and driving initiatives forward without relying on formal authority.

We are looking for someone with practical problem-solving ability, curiosity, and a proactive drive to turn ideas into tangible value. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are welcome, particularly those who can contribute to building a new AI capability from the ground up and thrive in a fast-evolving, collaborative environment.
