What would you do as our HSQE and Compliance Coordinator
Reporting to the Special Projects Manager, you will play a central role in assisting with the delivery and coordination of Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security compliance activities across the company. You will act as a key point of coordination, working closely with accountable managers and subject-matter experts to ensure obligations are met and standards are applied consistently.
You will assist a structured compliance approach focused on coordination, assurance, visibility, and follow-through rather than direct ownership. In this role, you will be accountable for assisting managers and subject matter experts in meeting their obligations and maintaining consistent standards
This role will focus on strengthening compliance across the business, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture, and assisting ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
You would also be accountable for:
- Coordinating and enabling compliance activities across Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security, assisting managers and subject matter experts to obligations and maintaining consistent standards, while ensuring clear ownership and accountability
- Monitoring, tracking and driving follow-up actions across incidents, near misses, quality issues, corrective actions and compliance actions, identifying trends (including CoPQ and KPI performance) and highlighting risks and improvement areas.
- Assisting audits, assurance and standards compliance including coordinating internal and external audits, maintaining ISO standards and accreditations, and ensuring corrective and improvement actions are implemented and effectively tracked.
- Assisting training, awareness and engagement initiatives, working with HR and managers to coordinate compliance training, promoting Health and Safety and wellbeing and reinforce a positive compliance and safety culture across the organization.
- Producing reports and maintaining operational oversight, including preparing dashboards and SLT updates, maintaining compliance records and risk registers, and acting as key liaison across teams to ensure visibility, alignment, and continuous improvement.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a coordination or operational assist role within one of the following: Health & Safety, quality, compliance, environmental or information‑security functions.
- Exposure to ISO standards, audit processes and day‑to‑day compliance activities.
- Strong organizational, tracking and reporting skills, with confidence working across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and engage without formal authority, using a pragmatic and improvement‑focused approach.
