Biosite is expanding the team and is looking for a Stores Operative to support its growth journey. Joining the Stores team, the Stores Operative, reporting directly to Stores Team Leader, will play an essential role in Production – Shopfloor department to drive profitable and sustainable growth, whilst upholding company values.

About role of Stores Operative

 

  The Stores Operative is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring products are accurately stocked and readily available for distribution. This role involves overseeing the receipt, organization, and movement of stock in our warehouse. The Stores Operative works closely with other departments such as purchasing, sales, operations team and production to ensure efficient inventory control and timely stock replenishment.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory records in our MRP system.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
  • Assisting in stock audits to prevent discrepancies.
  • Coordinating with Purchasing Manager to ensure goods are ordered in timely manner.
  • Preparing stock orders based on demand forecasts and reorder points.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Reporting any stock-related issues or discrepancies to management.
  • Picking Customer Orders and Manufacturing Orders including stock movement between the locations.
  • Assisting in preparation of customer orders.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse role is a plus.
  • Forklift license (not mandatory) license course can be provided.
