Biosite provides biometric access control and workforce management software solutions for the construction industry. Biosite is expanding the team and is looking for a Product Owner to support its growth journey. Joining the Product Management team, the Product Owner, reporting directly to Head of Product, will play an essential role in the development of Biosite products to drive profitable and sustainable growth, whilst upholding company values.
What would you do as our Product Owner
As our Product Owner, you would work closely with the wider business to gain Voice of Customer input around user needs, including the user experience and then translate this feedback into detailed requirements, epics and user stories in a clear way that is readily digestible by the R&D team. In addition, you would help the R&D team understand the wider business context and value associated with functions and features they are working on to ensure that the end-product delivers the functionality, experience and value required by our customers..
You would also:
- Represent the customer internally by analysing their needs and translating them into detailed hardware/software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Manage and prioritize the Product Backlog to ensure tasks are properly scoped and sized for efficient prioritization
- Keep development and roadmap plans visible, transparent, and up to date to manage stakeholder expectations effectively
- Maintain a strong understanding of how solutions are used in real-world scenarios to ensure a user-friendly experience across products
- Engage with stakeholders during development for feedback and own the acceptance testing process to ensure functionality meets expectations
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a Product Owner skilled in working with cross-functional, agile teams and methodologies
- Strong ability to investigate, analyse, and document clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and prioritization
- Experience in roadmapping and using Voice of Customer (VoC) tools, with a focus on return on investment
- Collaborative team player attitude with experience in complex change environments involving multiple products and development teams
