Job Title: Finance Assistant – Interim Contract (1 year)

Job Summary:

As a Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the finance team in various financial and accounting functions

 

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in various areas:

 

1. Accounts payable:

Payment run check

Entering invoices when required, mainly as a backup function

Resolving queries when required

GRNI

Prepayments

 

2. Month end:

Journals

Exchange rates

P&L commentary

Assist in control accounts

Send out control accounts for authorisation

Download fleet tracker

Allstar and Premier invoice accrual and reporting

 

3. Fixed assets:

Update and maintain asset resgister

Run depreciation and post journals

 

4. SAP cleansing:

 As and when required

 

5. Other tasks:

Dow Jones checks

VAT return checks

Bank reconciliations

ONS Surveys

Cash sheet update

Ad hoc as and when required

 

6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Work closely with other where required.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Studying towards AAT

- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in financial reporting.
