What you would do as our DevOps Engineer

As our DevOps Engineer, you would be responsible for the delivery of DevSecOps initiatives and will closely collaborate with the senior DevSecOps Engineer, software engineers, architects, and product teams to contribute to the design of, and to build foundational toolsets and capabilities that allow our teams to quickly bring new features to market.

 

You would also:

• Implement high-quality technical solution deployments of DevSecOps principles (incl. production, test and dev environments) using Infrastructure as code systems.

• Contribute to the Security of the estate and Cloud cost utilization.

• Contribute to projects or continuous improvement activities within change initiatives, projects, or programme to fully meet the defined functional and non-functional requirements within budget and timescale.

• On occasion, you may be expected to provide an ‘out of hours’ service for business-critical issues.

• Continually educate yourself on best practices and methodologies.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to confidently discuss/present to varying stakeholder levels.

• Broader knowledge and understanding of wider IT Teams i.e., IT Operations, Development, and IT Service.

• DevOps and Security background utilizing various Cloud platforms.

• Understanding of Version control solutions, specifically Git/GitHub Repos.

 

It would be beneficial if you had Infrastructure as Code experience, specifically with Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt, as well as CI/CD tooling experience using the AWS Suite (CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy). Experience with container orchestration (ECS, Docker), implementing serverless applications (AWS Lambda), working with compliant systems (ISO 27001, SOC-2, HIPAA, GDPR), and holding certifications in Scrum, LeSS, SAFe Agile, and AWS (especially CCP) would also be advantageous.
