Biosite is expanding the team and is looking for an Area Sales Manager to support its growth journey. Joining the Sales team, the Area Sales Manager, reporting directly to UK Sales Manager, will play an essential role in delivering new sales to drive profitable and sustainable growth, whilst upholding company values.

Role Overview: Area Sales Manager
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be at the heart of driving sales growth within the portfolio of our Key Account customers. You’ll take ownership of a strategic sales process enabling our Key Account customers to not only procure their enterprise solutions, however, upsell the added benefit of the additional products we offer. You will be required to manage your pipeline, calendar and working locations enabling you to maximise the success of your designated region.
Networking within your customer base for upcoming projects, tenders and additional products to sell. You will be measured against a Sales Target, NSP and upselling non enterprise products. This is 100% account management and maximising the opportunity within our current enterprise customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Sales Performance: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets by winning new business within the construction industry and managing the sales pipeline.
- Account Lead Generation: Leverage various lead-generation methods such as telephone prospecting, networking, client referrals, and the Glenigan directory to build and qualify a strong sales pipeline within your account customer base.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans for your region to drive revenue growth and external enterprise product penetration.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing customers at site level, ensuring excellent customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Opportunity and Forecasting Management: Accurately forecast sales and manage CRM data to ensure sales pipeline visibility and integrity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Key Account Management team to manage and expand relationships with key customers and ensure local sales support. Collaborate with the Business Development team to pass leads and information between each other.
- Performance Tracking: Maintain focus on sales metrics including conversion rates, order value, and monthly targets, and report regularly on performance.
- Customer Satisfaction Focus: Contribute to Biosite’s positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Skills and Experience You Need:
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales within the construction or a related sector, with a strong focus on sales growth and achievement of targets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in a competitive market.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and manage customer relationships effectively.
- Data-driven with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage sales forecasts and pipelines.
- Comfortable with technical selling and utilizing technology to drive sales performance.
- Full driver’s license for regional travel.
