ASSA ABLOY is looking for a dynamic self motivated technically strong Specifications Sales executive to help grow and develop our rapidly expanding commercial and residential projects business. The Specifications Sales executive role covers a wide scope focussing on all areas of the project sales pipeline from brand and solutions market development, architectural and developer networking and development and contractor partner selection. This role suits a highly motivated individual looking to grow and expand their responsibility ideally with a diverse network of architectural and development partners and robust and traceable specification and building experience . Technical specifications experience in the Singaporean door opening, project, architectural and hardware industry preferable. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • To help meet and exceed budget and expansion targets for ASSA ABLOY Project sales division 

  • Identifying, develop and maintain or build positive relationships with industry partners including but not limited to Architects, influencers, Developers, Main Contractors, Building Material Trading Houses, Doors Partners, and System Integrators  

  • To build and record in CRM a robust and secure pipeline of qualified opportunities, specifications, and tender through to successful sale,  

  • Proactive identification of customer needs and market opportunities, evaluation of size of the opportunity and effectively outline what is needed to win the opportunity through range of ASSA ABLOY Solutions available 

  • Maintaining relationships with key accounts by making regular visits, following BCI leads, tracking market development, understanding market and partner needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities to grow the ASSA ABLOY Singapore market share 

  • Providing in collaboration with scheduling team a detailed and accurate specification/schedule consultancy adhering to all pertinent Singapore Building codes, standards and total requirements of ASSA ABLOY products as requested by the clients 

  • Provide customer product quotations for tenders and be proficient in the tender interview process as well as price negotiations 

  • Work together with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the bills of quantities are promptly updated and assist in the preparation of project scheduling and installation of sample boards and mock-up samples as may be required 

  • Liaise closely between customers and our sales, logistics, finance support teams to maximize and enhance customer service levels, especially where product installation/repair is necessary 

  • Analyses trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance 

  • Providing fast, reliable, and experienced customer service support and user experience  

Requirements 

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Specifications sales or project sales in related industries 

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, marketing or related field 

  • Strong technical capabilities and an understanding of electronics, hardware and door opening solutions 

  • Customer service orientated outlook and accountability  

  • Excellent understanding of the Malaysia project sales, commercial and residential project management, construction, and real estate markets 

  • Solid and traceable network of industry experts and partners including Developers, Main Contractors, Building Material Trading Houses, Doors Partners, and System Integrators  

  • Good presentation and communication skills  

  • Computer literate (good skill in Microsoft Office software, Excel, Words, PowerPoint). 

  • Good command over written and spoken English (Mandarin and Bahasa highly advantageous) 

  • Possess own transport with legal driving license and willing to travel regionally as required 

  • Computer literacy  - Working knowledge of Email, MS Word, Excel and  PowerPoint a plus
