Summary
The Senior Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with customers and partners within the biometric identity solution market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, strong technical acumen, and a deep understanding of the biometric and security industry.
As our Senior Regional Sales Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in the Southeast Asian market related to biometric software, including but not limited to facial recognition, fingerprint, and palm recognition technologies.
- Promote BIO’s biometric solutions (AFIS/ABIS) by engaging with system integrators and influencing specifications at the end-user level.
- Collaborate with system integrators to gather and analyze customer requirements prior to the release of tenders, and proactively align product roadmaps with anticipated needs.
- Develop preliminary budgets and planning estimates in preparation for upcoming RFPs.
- Organize and manage proof-of-concept initiatives, product demonstrations, and customer testing (benchmarks).
- Prepare responses to expressions of interest (EOIs), requests for information (RFIs), and other tender-related documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Presales, PMO (tender support), Business Development, Product & Marketing Managers, and Legal.
- Formulate and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with regional objectives.
Your Experience and Background include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in eKYC, AFIS/ABIS solutions is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of experience in government, banking, or related sectors with a focus on business development.
- Proven experience in sales and business development within software or solution-based environments.
- Prior experience in biometric technology sales is essential.
- A university degree is preferred; however, a strong track record in B2B/B2G business development may be considered in lieu.
- Demonstrated success in corporate-level B2B sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients confidently.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Strategic thinker with strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to changing schedules.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Additional local language used in Sales East Asia is a great advantage.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively while maintaining strong relationships with partners and clients.
