As our Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Manage the yield improvements for current production of existing products as well as new products at Contracting Manufacturing.
  • Manage HID Lumidigm and HID Silicon products Customer quality issues and all related RMA process requirements.
  • Participate in required Company and customer conference calls.
  • Work with Contract Manufacturer (CM) for environmental or compliance documents including, but not limited to, ISO, REACH, RoHS and Conflict Minerals, for Lumidigm and Silicon products as requested from time to time in response to HID customer requests.
  • Deliverables include any reports, drawings, presentations or any other documents prepared as requested from time to time by HID customer.
  • Become proficient in Agile.
  • Use AGILE ECO and MCO process to assign part new part numbers and changes in manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the creation and documentation of Work Instructions and Manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate all testing, diagnostics in support of Failure Analysis system. Provide testing summaries in customer ready formats for Final FA report generation.
  • Owner of all factory related RMA including preliminary analysis and reporting, testing, root cause and corrective action. Prepare final FA report and address with customer for resolution. (Includes factory excursions, Visual Mechanical Inspection escapees, etc)
  • On-Site CM and Customer visits as required to address line down, FA closure/agreement, and any changes necessary at CM and Customers line to resolve issues.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing field.  
  • Knowledgeable on Process Control and Process Capability.
  • Knowledgeable on FMEA.
  • Knowledgeable on SPC.
  • Knowledgeable on Process Flow and Incoming and Outgoing Quality Controls.
  • Knowledgeable on 8D report.
  • Knowledgeable in the Theory of Constraints. Methodology for identifying the most important limiting factor that stands in the way of achieving a goal and then systematically improving that constraint until it is no longer the limiting factor. In manufacturing, constraint referred to as a bottleneck process.

 

 

Language Skills:            

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.                

 

Computer Skills:   

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
