Showroom Sales Representative - Kenya

 

Purpose of the role:

 

The role is designed to coordinate all activities of retail sales in the ASSA ABLOY showrooms ensuring that customers and potential buyers get details, features and general product information, and complete the purchase process.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

These will include the following but not limited to: -

 

  • Provide customer service assistance to customers and respond to customer inquiries and complaints as well as educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Process customer orders, quotes, queries, complaints and concerns in a courteous, efficient, professional and timely manner using company pricing system and policies, ensuring that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.These customer inquiries will come as showroom walk-in, telephone, WhatsApp, email, social media and referral by sales team.
  • Ensure that payments received are receipted and payment advises are remitted to finance office in a timely manner where required.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all processes and procedures, have relevant and adequate approval signatures and such documents are well filed and stored.
  • Examine merchandise in stock and on display to ensure that it is correctly priced, labelled and displayed and that it functions well.
  • Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item.
  • Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level.
  • Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold, accurately manage stock holdings and handle/report/resolve variances.
  • Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, promote business and improve efficiency.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure the showroom is well equipped and ready to meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Maintain professional and respectful internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

 

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course, a second class upper division or equivalent is desirable
  • 2+ years’ experience in showroom sales handling technical products
  • Proficient in IT, with efficiency Microsoft Office tools
