The Inventory Controller will Lead and coordinate the activities of receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, tracking and transacting all materials, customer returns, supplies, tools, equipment and parts in the stockroom by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties :
- Plans layout of production, and other storage areas, considering safety, turnover, size, weight, sub-inventory, replenishment methods, visual organization and related factors of items stored.
- Advises employees on safe use and operation of equipment, behaviors and requirements for safety in the production.
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received and stored; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, counting, maintaining, and issuing stock; and related matters.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Review and report daily trend metrics in relation to stock performance and identify any slow moving inventory
- Organizes and schedules work for cycle count and periodic inventories.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate reports and make recommendations to optimize inventory, such as adjusting reorder points, safety stock levels and replenishment strategies.
- Examines work for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Interfaces with other departments in the expediting or resolution of material related issues.
- Works directly with operators, value stream managers, quality manager and others to ensure quality of service to HID customers. Assist with improvements and tracking of issues
- Minimize inventory costs and maximize inventory turnover through effective inventory management strategies.
- Enters data and generates reports based upon individual entries or issues.
Education and or Experience :
- Third level degree is desirable.
- Must have at least 3 to year’s experience in inventory control, international and domestic shipping, receiving, stockroom, preferably in electronics manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of import / export control requirements and procedures required.
- Knowledge of kanban and lean (continuous improvement) principals beneficial.
- CTPAT knowledge and experience beneficial.
Work Requirements
- Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
