Position summary - We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software Product Owner to drive product feature delivery within an Agile Scrum environment. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, UX designers, and QA engineers to define product requirements, prioritize backlog items,and driving continuous improvement.

 

Reports TO – Senior Manager - Product & Design Management

TEAM STRUCTURE – Report Senior Manager - Product & Design Management who reports to SVP and Head of Product Innovation GSR, has other PO as peers,  belong innovation team, internally work close to developing team, externally product marketing team from different regions,, etc.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - (Using e.g. bullet points, identify the detailed aspects and specific responsibilities of the role. Break down all day-to-day activities, including any details about software they may need to use and KPIs they will need to consider)

 

  • Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, customer need, and technical feasibility.
  • Groom and clarify backlog requirements by writing user stories and define acceptance criteria, etc.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Engineering Leads to ensure efficient sprint execution.
  • Clarify requirements and answer development team questions throughout the sprint.
  • Make trade-off decisions to maximize product value while balancing technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on product requirements and expectations.
  • Responible for product discovery sessions, defining new features and functionality based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Maintaining partnerships and workflows with third parties,like Google, Amazon,etc
  • Responsible for solution define and discussion of third parties intergration relevant.
  • Maintaining the membership in different Alliances
  • Work with team to support release train to make sure product releases are on time and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive product documentation in Confluence.
  • Document business processes, functional requirements, decision logs, and release notes.
  • Ensure product knowledge is effectively shared across teams.
  • Continuously improve backlog quality, delivery processes, and team collaboration.

  • Promote transparency by ensuring project information is easily accessible to stakeholders and team members.
  • Advocate for user-centric solutions while balancing delivery timelines
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for feature-related decisions
  • Understand changes in third-party like Google, Amazon processes and stay informed about emerging industry technologies.

 

Selection criteria, Relevant Knowledge, and competencies (For the role, specify relevant knowledge, competencies and experience that is needed, e.g: Educational background, technical skills, technological knowledge - details of relevant experience, - skills required for the role, -most relevant leadership dimensions)

Must Have:

 

·          Bachelor's or above degree in Science and Engineering, or a related field.

·          3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment.

·          Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.

·          Excellent communication skills, able to effectively convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders.

·          Ability to work independently and autonomously, with strong self-motivation and initiative.

·          Experience in, dynamic environment, able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

·          Passion for creating high-quality, user-friendly products that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.

·          Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, CSPO, etc.).

·          Familiarity with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

·          Fluent in English for both reading and writing

 

Preferred to have:

 

·          Experience with IOT industry

·          International experience preferred
