1.     This business analyst role focused on Greater China & Southeast Asia (GCSEA)

2.     As a business analyst you drive logical conclusions and forecasts from implementing strategies that can improve business performance in the current dynamic environment.

3.    You are data-driven, with strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage large datasets to identify practical ways to improve organizational efficiency.

Business Development Director, SEA

Function:  Commercial Excellence

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES - (Using e.g. bullet points, identify the detailed aspects and specific responsibilities of the role. Break down all day-to-day activities, including any details about software they may need to use and KPIs they will need to consider)

 

  1. Supporting Business Development Director and Commercial Excellence in providing data analysis to find opportunities and growth commercially in GCSEA.
  2. Analyze positioning, market share and own market intelligence/study to identify growth opportunities and threats.
  3. Monitor GCSEA business environment closely, provide monthly/quarterly market update.
  4. Analyze and optimize business models based on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape in retail or e-commerce.
  5. Support Business Units monthly/quarterly/annual pricing activity & performance review, and figure out financial plan & forecast.
  6. Evaluate key performance indicators, provide ongoing reports, and recommend business plan updates.
  7. Conduct full lifecycle of analytics projects (including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data) from project requirements documentation to design and execution.
  8. Prepare, analyze, and summarize operational results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, instructions, and flowcharts.
  9. Accurately analyze and collect data for various business reports, diligently maintaining databases and commercial updates to ensure precision in business insights.
  10. Able to manage large data sets which resourcing from some data sources both online e.g ERP, CRM, other ASSA ABLOY’s application and offline data sets.
  11. Proven working experience in analysis commercial or marketing channels databases, e.g email, social media, market trends, or external reports.
  12. Serve as liaison between working level and management by analyzing and interpreting data for GCSEA procedures, policies, and workflows.

  1. Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business, experience in E- Business is preferred.
  2. Participate in meetings regularly with managers to assess issues and to identify and implement improvements for more efficient operations.
  3. Provide strong, timely financial and business analytics for decisions by partners and organizational stakeholders.
  4. Develop actionable roadmaps for improving workflows and processes in line with GCSEA direction.
  5. Comply with division and local regulations.

Essential:

  1. Strong understanding of macroeconomic and geopolitical factors, with the ability to assess their impact on business performance and market development.
  2. High sensitivity to evolving market trends across GCSEA.
  3. Extensive experience in data management and analysis.
  4. Ability to synthesize insights and present findings in a clear, structured, and professional manner.
  5. Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  6. Lead and execute high-impact analyses to identify meaningful trends, risks, and growth opportunities across the business.
  7. Collaborate regularly with managers and cross-functional teams to diagnose issues and drive operational improvements.
  8. Provide timely and robust financial and business insights to support decision-making by internal stakeholders and partners.
  9. Prior experience in a consulting environment is an advantage.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial area and preferably in strategy, pricing, sales operation and/ or data analyst.
  2. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in business management, or economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics,
  3. Experience with consulting firms is highly desirable.

  1. Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with sensitivity to market trends and business dynamics.
  2. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages clearly and effectively for different audiences, including senior management, business units, and cross-functional teams.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex data, insights, and recommendations in a simple and structured way.
  4. Strong workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to prepare materials, guide discussions, engage participants, and drive clear outcomes.
  5. Highly careful and detail-oriented, with a disciplined approach to checking work, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  6. Exhibit proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), leveraging these skills to enhance data-driven insights.
  7. Ability to design and develop dashboards and reporting tools (preferred).

Language Skills:
