The local organization in China is divided by market segment and the Southeast Asia region is organized according to country structure. Our divisional headquarters is in Shanghai, China. 

Purpose of the Job & Deliverables

 

This business analyst role focused on Greater China & Southeast Asia (GCSEA), you are a data driven person with strong analytical thinking, able to manage large data sets to identify effective ways of boosting organizational efficiency and data-driven thinking.

As a business analyst you drive logical conclusions and forecasts from implementing strategies that can improve business performance in the current dynamic environment.

 

Duties and Deliverables

Key Deliverables

  • Supporting Business Development Director and Commercial Excellence in providing data analysis to find opportunities and growth commercially in GCSEA.
  • Analyze pricing, positioning, market share and own market intelligence/study to identify growth opportunities and threats.
  • Analyze and optimize pricing models based on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape in retail or e-commerce.
  • Support Business Units monthly/quarterly/annual pricing activity & performance review, and figure out financial plan & forecast
  • Evaluate key performance indicators, provide ongoing reports, and recommend business plan updates
  • Monitor GCSEA business environment closely, provide monthly/quarterly market update 
  • Develop and implement data analyses, leveraging data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct full lifecycle of analytics projects (including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data) from project requirements documentation to design and execution
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize operational results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, instructions, and flowcharts
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various business reports, diligently maintaining databases and commercial updates to ensure precision in business insights.
  • Able to manage large data sets which resourcing from some data sources both online e.g ERP, CRM, other ASSA ABLOY’s application and offline data sets.
  • Proven working experience in analysis commercial or marketing channels databases, e.g email, social media, market trends, or external reports.
  • Serve as liaison between working level and management by analyzing and interpreting data for GCSEA procedures, policies, and workflows

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Understand macroeconomic and geopolitical factors and their impact on business and market development, with strong sensitivity to market trends
  • Deep experience in managing data
  • Ability to present findings in a presentable way
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Proficiency with statistics and dataset analytics (PowerBI, Excel)

Expectations:

  • Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business, experience in E- Business is preferred.
  • Participate in meetings regularly with managers to assess issues and to identify and implement improvements for more efficient operations
  • Provide strong, timely financial and business analytics for decisions by partners and organizational stakeholders
  • Develop actionable roadmaps for improving workflows and processes in line with GCSEA direction
  • Comply with division and local regulations

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the commercial area and preferably in pricing, sales operation and/ or data analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in computer science, mathematics, statistics, business management, or economics

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Mandarin is mandatory

Computer Skills:

  • Experienced and advanced in working in ERP or similar.
  • Proficient in Power BI and/or other BI-tool reporting systems, VBA Language, and Excel.
  • Able to design dashboard on the above tools (preferably)
  • CRM (Salesforce.com or equivalent) preferably
  • Exhibit proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), leveraging these skills to enhance data-driven insights.
