BU Manager, Pedestrian
About this position:
As Business Unit (BU) Manager the chosen candidate defines and executes the overall strategy for the BU to create successful long- and short term growth and profitability. He/ She is accountable for developing products, growing profitable equipment sales, executing world class installation and service offers and optimizing our internal efficiency. As a leader of the BU, the chosen candidate is responsible for an approx. team of 50 people who will be looking to him / her for daily co-operation, development and long-term vision.
Key responsibilities:
• Operationally accountable for BU P&L, balance sheet and KPI
• Transform BA business strategies into BU tactics and operational targets by cascading and creating commitment and passion for getting the right things done
• Overall responsible for BU day-to-day business, growth and profitability
• Lead and develop BU activities to accelerate growth and profitability
• Grow BU sales of equipment and service
• Manage BU value chain including Sales, Installation and Service
• Optimize the BU organization by reducing complexity with clear mandates
• Recognize opportunities and risks that impacts or potentially can impact the success of the business and service delivery
• Lead, drive, develop and motivate the BU management team for a high performance culture mindset
• Closely monitor market size evolution and competition development
• Lead and follow up joint Business Area activities by proactive segment selling key accounts and specification writing
• Drive performance management ensuring that target setting, execution, follow-up and corrective actions are taken in a timely manner
• Report monthly to the BU business review
• Adheres to highest business ethics and full compliance and enforcement of AAES Code of Conduct
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates with experience from working in a global corporate setting and international matrix reporting environment with a proven B2B sales background, preferably from Building material industry with a strong business acumen.

The right candidate is self-starter with an innovative edge who always wants to outperform himself. We expect a sound sense of integrity along with strong leadership skills and the ability to combine excellent analytical skills with a hands-on approach to business.
Formally, a relevant university degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (or similar) will be expected. English is fluent, written and oral. Extensive working knowledge of the MS office package is needed.
