About The Role
JOB Title: SM Direct Lead !
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and finished goods required for manufacturing operations.
- Select, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Optimize supplier performance focusing on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) metrics.
- Plan and execute buying activities aligned with product mix and manufacturing requirements.
- Manage supply risks including delays, quality issues, and single-source dependencies, and implement mitigation plans.
- Plan and execute cost reduction initiatives across the purchasing portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Production, Quality, R&D, Sales) to meet buyer requirements.
- Identify and develop new suppliers to enhance supply chain competitiveness.
- Prepare, review, and manage supplier contracts and negotiation documentation.
- Monitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and adopt strategic buyer responses.
- P2P process management to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Utilize ERP systems (AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.) to manage purchase orders, inventory, and goods receipts.
- Analyze buying data to improve cost efficiency, lead times, and inventory turnover.
- Handle supplier claims, returns, and issue resolution while driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Develop and maintain purchase schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to support master data cleansing and accuracy.
- Mentor and develop junior buyers to strengthen team capabilities.

REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and product mix manufacturing requirements.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, result-driven, and able to work independently.
- Fluency in Korean (native level) and English (business level)
