Summary:

The Production Planner will play an important role in ensuring HID exceeds internal and external customers’ expectations in fulfilling the supply and demand by reviewing the sales forecast, demand figures and production schedule.

 

This role is to build necessity inventory-levels to prevent shortage and maximum turns but avoid slow moving or overstock. To work closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing, Supply Planning and Suppliers and effectively communicates to ensure execution of the Plan. And to work with Finance, Control Tower, Customer Service and Sales Department in support of operations-management. 

 

 

As our Senior Production Planner, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Focus person for assembly house.
  • Issue PO to Assembly for build to support backlog with lead-time.
  • Provide 12 months rolling forecast to Assembly to secure raw materials to support demand.
  • Review assembly delivery plan to ensure assembly house meets targeted date. Escalate if there is any issue.
  • Review Assembly house Inv level to support demand.
  • Manage all Oracle transactions for PO issue to Assembly House.
  • Commit ship date for order in Oracle.
  • Perform drop shipment document to assembly house for Commercial product line.
  • Ensure meeting above 95% on time delivery!
  • Ensure that materials are delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meet the quality standards of the company; coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute materials in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain reports, such as backlog, receiving log or any other reports relates to PO / inbound data on daily basis.
  • Maintain accurate control of purchase orders, amendments, advanced shipment notices, and other related documents.
  • Manage and coordinate allocation of supply to the regions with suppliers during times of shortage based on guidance from the Head of Supply Chain for BIO BU.
  • Own, manage and maintain proper inventory levels on assigned commodities based on forecast requirement and replenishment strategy.  Monitor through inventory turns and monthly performance reviews.
  • Review and maintain data integrity on products including Item Master, lead-times, pricing, and other master data elements as required in the company’s ERP system, Oracle.
  • Assist in reconciling purchase order and invoice variances with Accounts Payable team as required.
  • Coordinate the allocation of supply to the regions with suppliers during times of shortage.
  • Support for data analysis, e.g. on time inbound delivery; or any new project performance index.
  • Must be comfortable working in a multicultural, global environment and take over new duties / tasks as assigned.

  • Understanding and experience with the end user corporate culture, environment, and decision process within the Banking, Education and Commercial Real Estate markets.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategic initiatives with end users, resulting in sales growth, with previous experience in end user management.
  • Experience with use cases such as Physical or Logical access control a plus, as well as knowledge on mobile centric digital transformation.
  • Excellent organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills with proven teamwork execution at a senior level.
  • Good reasoning ability to investigate and analyze information and draw relevant conclusions.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results.
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and being able to deal with complexity and ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated effective communication including written and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce.com) usage and digital tools.

 

 

Your Experience and Education include:

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or closely related field required.
  • Must have at least 10 years purchasing or relevant supply chain experience.
  • Proficient in data analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills.
  • Good data management and accuracy and work independently.
  • Must present a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Must be comfortable speaking with and presenting to all levels of management.
  • Previous experience with MRP replenishment systems is required.

 

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English verbally and in writing.

 

Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge in VBA would be a plus
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle Rev 12 highly desirable.
