The most important aspects of the Senior Accountant role is to ensure adherence to statutory and group financial accounting policies. It supports the implementation of the economic-financial strategy of ASSA ABLOY Romania, in accordance with the policies of the group, in order to achieve the indicators established in the business plan and in the annual approved profit and loss budget. It carries out the financial accounting activity of the local company with particular emphasis on satisfying the internal requirements - both of internal clients and of the legal accounting rules in force.

 

Key responsibilities:

1. Supports the implementation of the company's development strategy in accordance with the policies of the ASSA ABLOY group;

2. Participate in the implementation of the economic strategy of the company in accordance with the economic strategy of the group and in accordance with the decisions adopted by the board of directors;

3. Follows monthly the correct preparation of the statutory balance and checks it;

4. Ensures internal preventive control over all operations of a financial-accounting nature in the day-to-day activity;

5. Organizes and ensures the annual inventory;

6. Monitors the fulfillment of the economic indicators established in the company's annual budget and informs the manager directly about the problems encountered;

7. Makes proposals and prepares programs of measures for the economic-financial recovery of the company and the improvement of cash-flow;

8. Participate in the development and implementation of the company's cost procedure;

9. Ensures the development of the company's financial activity in accordance with the reporting requirements of ASSA ABLOY Group;

10. Prepares monthly purchases and sales logs according to the legislation;

11. Prepare monthly tax returns (D300; D390; D394; D100, etc.);

12. Prepares and records accounting journals in accordance with the company's activity;

13. Assist the team of auditors in performing the audit;

14. Develops and implements proposals for streamlining financial-accounting processes;

15. Implement any new statutory or group financial accounting rule with maximum urgency;

17. Can lead annual process improvement projects;

18. Can lead annual statutory reporting projects;

19. Can lead the statutory or group reporting process depending on the needs of the company;

20. Maintains an optimal degree of internal/external communication and an appropriate work climate;

21. Checks compliance with internal procedures and takes measures regarding their improvement;

22. Supervises the registration and payment of credits and related interest;

Knowledge on:

                   National and international reporting standards (IFRS, RAS)

                   Management and financial accounting

                   Financial reporting

                   Integrated management systems (Axapta is an advantage)

                   Reporting and consolidation system (HFM is an advantage)

                   Microsoft suite (Word, Excel - advanced)

                   Intermediate English language - mandatory

Studies: University degree in the financial field

Experience: Minimum 5 years previous experience in similar positions

Other: Organizational capacity and ability to work within deadlines, persevering, capacity for analysis and synthesis, communication at all levels in the company.

Task and resource management, walk the talk attitude, able to prioritize and navigate complex structures of data.
