HID’s Quality Assurance, Operations Department:
The Software Quality Assurance Manager must be both an effective leader and a hands-on contributor to the Quality Assurance process. They will be highly engaged in the day-to-day planning, scheduling and organization of QA activities, stay ahead of the curve in QA techniques and practices, and lead the charge to implement a strong automation program. The position requires a solid knowledge of automation tools and the ability to write both automated and manual tests.
As our Software Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Hiring and oversight of the QA personnel. This includes delegation of duties, task management, mentoring/skill development, and performance measurement and evaluation.
- Working closely with our Systems Engineering, Product, and Development team in ensuring overall product release schedules are met while meeting quality goals and standards.
- Identifying and raising risk factors to the Risk Management Committee for mitigation.
- Working with the product manager to help define requirements and acceptance criteria for product features.
- Writing and maintaining automated tests using different automation tools and developed in house testing frameworks.
- Working closely with development to assure that code is feature complete and has high quality by writing automated tests and/or performing manual testing.
- Identifying and triaging bugs and work with support and development to prioritize and fix them.
- Working with DevOps and Ops to help ensure environments are setup and working correctly.
- Identifying software vulnerabilities through rigorous testing procedures.
- Developing ideas for software testing and the procedures to perform those tests.
- Reviewing software bugs and highlighting the areas that are of issue.
- Writing program codes to improve the automation process of testing software.
- Creating test reports of quality testing.
- Participating in the creation, implementation, and management of QA processes, tools, and supporting technology.
- Owning the technical direction for quality and testing software components and systems.

- Experience with Scaled Agile and SAFe
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
Your Experience and Education include:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. Candidates with an equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered.
- 3+ years proven success in a QA or test automation role.
- 3+ years of experience performing managerial duties that include resource balancing, project management, people management, and team growth and development.
