We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Stockroom Team Leader to guide daily operations in our stockroom and receiving areas. In this role, you’ll work within a small team, ensure accurate inventory management, and maintain a smooth flow of materials to support production. Key Responsibilities
Support Daily Operations: Guide all stockroom and receiving activities, ensuring smooth workflows and timely completion of tasks.
Hands-On Support: Be capable of performing all stockroom and receiving duties when needed, setting the standard for accuracy and efficiency.
Inventory Management: Maintain and continuously improve inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proactive problem-solving.
Material Control: Manage storage areas, including receipt, identification, outside storage, disbursement, and inventory of materials.
Team Leadership: Ensure team members perform daily cycle counts and follow best practices for inventory control.
Performance Monitoring: Track and measure key metrics such as Order Fill Rate (OFR) and Delivery to Schedule (DTS) for purchased orders.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all legal regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Support physical inventory processes, IT system updates, and ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with the receiving team to maintain proper inventory levels and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Communication: Respond to emails and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders.
Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operational success.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education completed
- Minimum of one year of experience in inventory management or stockroom environment
- Forklift driver certified
- Ability to lift materials as needed and perform stockroom duties safely
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, JD Edwards preferred.
