The Manufacturing Engineer will support, oversee, and improve the production processes, tooling, equipment, and materials related to the overall operation.  This is a hands-on operations support position requiring a strong technical background and project management skills to work effectively with other departments and individuals to meet company goals and objectives.  This exempt position's standard hours will be 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.   

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Support, troubleshoot, and problem solve issues with production processes and equipment
  2. Manage & support the install of new equipment which also includes the training of associates in safe and efficient operation of the equipment
  3. Lead improvement initiatives that reduce cost, improve quality, and improve delivery
  4. Manage capital projects for Operations
  5. Develop/design fixtures, tools, processes or machines that enhance work flow, improve productivity and reduce costs
  6. Review production equipment, hardware, and tooling & make recommendations for repairs or replacement
  7. Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  2. Three to 5 years of relevant experience
  3. Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  4. Knowledge of production principles and techniques
  5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  7. Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to walk, stand and sit for periods of time.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or in paper format.

  • Ability to travel as necessary for the positions described.
