Are you a seasoned financial leader with a passion for driving organizational success? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to join our High Security Group's leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will provide financial leadership and advisement to the Group President, while also managing our internal Information Technology team. Your expertise will ensure the financial well-being of our organization through financial projections, accounting services, growth plans, trend analysis, and staff direction.
As the Director of Finance, you will lead a team of direct and indirect reports in a matrix environment, offering invaluable advice on the financial implications of business decisions and activities. You will also ensure that our IT systems are robust and effective throughout the organization. This position, along with the finance and IT teams, is based in Salem, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts to ensure the credibility of our Finance group.
- Strategic Planning: Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends, setting critical measurements, and designing systems to resolve problems and implement change.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a team of financial and IT professionals who support our operating units and ERP systems.
- Growth and Development: Identify economic trends and revenue opportunities, project acquisition and expansion prospects, and analyze operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Financial Strategy: Forecast capital, facilities, and staff requirements, develop action plans, and monitor financial performance to initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop forecasts, report results, analyze variances, and implement improvements to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of critical information to leadership teams.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with the leadership team to identify their needs and provide comprehensive business solutions.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
- Experience: 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in multi-site manufacturing within a matrix organization. Previous experience in the hardware industry is a plus.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities, and the capability to manage well at all levels of the organization.
- Integrity and Dependability: High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Office application skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Experience with J.D. Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
