Medeco Security Locks, the leader in high security systems, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Supervisor to join our finance team. Reporting to the Credit Manager, this position will lead a team of specialists and be responsible for the entire credit process, from customer evaluation to collections and risk mitigation. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic approach to maintain healthy accounts receivable and support our company's financial goals. The Credit Supervisor is a key role within the finance team and strongly supports our mission of creating a safer and more open world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Motivate, train, and manage a team of credit and collections specialists to meet performance targets.
- Manage Credit Risk: Conduct thorough credit analysis on new and existing customers, establish credit limits, and monitor the credit portfolio to minimize bad debt exposure.
- Oversee Collections: Direct the collections process, handle complex escalations, and negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers.
- Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to credit and collections procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Report and Analyze: Prepare and present detailed accounts receivable aging reports, risk assessments, and cash flow forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce company credit policies and ensure all credit and collection activities comply with relevant regulations.
What You'll Bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in credit and collections, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Expertise with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
