The Role:
As an Installation Support & Warehouse Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include executing daily cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system data in Baan, and managing location-based inventory tracking. You’ll collaborate with consignment vendors, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure optimal material availability and accurate reporting. This role also includes identifying potential issues with Bills of Material, supporting raw material storage improvements, and serving as a backup for receiving duties. Attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.
This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, manage, and maintain inventory of automatic door materials in the warehouse
- Assemble door packages and prepare materials for installation jobs
- Assist installation teams on-site as needed for support and setup
- Operate company vehicle to deliver parts and materials to various customer locations
- Order and purchase parts and supplies to support installation and service operations
- Utilize Baan ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite for administrative and inventory tasks
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of materials, deliveries, and job support activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Self-motivated with desire to learn and make improvements
- Quality consciousness with a high degree of accuracy
- Must have at least one year of experience working in manufacturing environment
- Must have at least one year of experience in cycle counting process
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must have some ERP/Microsoft Office computer experience
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Much of the day will be spent on the manufacturing floor
