The Sales Engineer is a new role associated with sales operations at IXLA, to ensure a timely and consistent technical and application support to respond to market opportunities to Sales Managers and Inside Sales. 

The main activities for the position are related to the technical qualification of opportunities and projects, to assess and document requirements and define the most appropriate matching with IXLA products and services.

 

Sales support tasks will be executed remotely, at the main office of IXLA or on site in trade shows or other marketing related situations and will include meeting and interacting with IXLA customers and partners to discuss sales opportunities for IXLA products.

The Sales Engineer reports to the Sales Director under coordination of Inside Sales Manager.

 

The role requires a strong background in document personalization technologies and applications, or a willingness to undergo intensive training to gain expertise.

A deep understanding of IXLA’s products and roadmaps is essential, alongside familiarity with the broader industry landscape in which IXLA operates.

 

Based primarily at IXLA’s headquarters in Romano Canavese, Italy, the position offers some flexibility in work arrangements and requires availability for international travel as needed.

As our Sales Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Understand customer needs and document technical and application requirements to recommend appropriate products, solutions, or services 
  • Prepare and deliver to the sales team the technical offers for products or services
  • Support the sales team by providing technical expertise and documentation of products and services for client meetings and presentations
  • Respond to technical inquiries and provide pre-sale support as needed
  • Organize and support the execution of benchmarks and production of samples
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to define custom project requirements
  • Work with marketing and sales team to define effective sales procedures, tools, materials, and product documentation
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events as a technical representative. 

 

What we love about your background: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of equipment used in secure credentials personalization
  • Solid knowledge of applications using advanced technologies like laser and inkjet 
  • Marketing-related experience in the sector of secure credential issuance, preferably with hardware vendors or integrators
  • Familiarity with complex sales processes involving multiple parties and technologies 


Your Experience and Background include:
  

  • High School degree, preferably Technical (electronics, electromechanics, software) or Business 
  • Technical or Business College degree as a plus, or equivalent experience
  • Dedicated professional training and qualifications in fields relevant for the job as a plus 
  • Technical experience on laser and /or inkjet applications for credential personalization as a plus
  • Efficient in work prioritization and capable of working under pressure
  • Proven communication skills in English language (other languages as a plus): ability to clearly explain technical matters to clients and team members
  • Problem solving attitude, flexible team player and collaborative with colleagues and customers
  • Learning Agility: quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing equipment and procedures.
