Order Entry - McKinney

 

General Description: The Order Entry operator is responsible for performing data entry work using a personal computer and appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded. The Order Entry operator will develop and maintain a solid product knowledge and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements that meet the customer’s expectations and production capabilities. This is an onsite in office position.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Enter, update and verify data into various systems for use by all personnel
  • Review and verify data entered into database to ensure accuracy
  • Verifies and logs the receipt of data and obtains any data that is missing
  • Resolves minor processing problems; seek assistance from supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist in answering Customer Service phone calls
  • Answering customer questions
  • Expediting customer orders
  • Negotiating ship dates
  • Tracking shipments
  • Solving customer issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 Job Requirements:

  • Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and efficient at tasks
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Consistent attendance a must
