We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development to join our team.

This role will be instrumental in building a new, modern web application using contemporary technologies and frameworks.

 

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver a secure, scalable, and high-performing solution aligned with HID standards.

Essential Duties

  • Architect and implement high-quality, scalable web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns across the engineering team.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on complex architectural decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX, and backend teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Drive quality assurance through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues in production and development environments.
  • Champion security and compliance in all aspects of web development.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in web application development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, backend integration, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with .NET C# backend development.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for web applications.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools and modern code review techniques.

 

Work Requirements

  • Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
  • Employee works primarily in an office environment, within a well-ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
