Regional Sales Manager - Midwest

Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Midwest is responsible for managing and growing sales across Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia for the Tell Manufacturing brand. This position focuses on driving revenue growth through proactive customer engagement, territory development, and collaboration with independent representatives and internal departments. The RSM will work to strengthen customer relationships, expand distribution, and identify new business opportunities across retail, modular, contract hardware, and OEM channels. Territory will include: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to achieve sales and margin objectives.
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with distributors, contractors, and key regional accounts.
- Support independent manufacturer representatives with pricing programs, training, and large project quotes.
- Conduct in-person customer visits, sales presentations, and product demonstrations to promote Tell Manufacturing’s product lines.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned states while maintaining focus on retention and growth of existing customers.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, operations, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and order accuracy.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and customer trends, providing regular feedback to management.
- Prepare and submit sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics through CRM and internal reporting tools.
- Represent Tell Manufacturing at trade shows, association meetings, and customer events within the region.
- Stay informed on industry changes, product developments, and pricing impacts such as tariffs and freight adjustments.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's Degree or Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of proven outside sales experience in the building productions, door hardware or construction supply industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop territories and achieve or exceed sales goals.
- Knowledge of regional markets across the Midwest and strong understanding of distribution networks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and virtual meeting tools.
- Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the assigned territory.
