As our Electronics Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:

1. Circuit Design and Analysis 

  • Design analogue and digital circuits for various electronic applications
  • Perform simulations and analysis to optimize circuit performance, reliability and efficiency.

2. Prototyping and Testing

  • Develop prototypes for new electronic designs and conduct thorough testing and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of electronic components into larger systems

3. PCB Design

  • Develop circuit designs with PCB designer to create layouts that meet electrical and mechanical requirements.

4. Component Selection

  • Research and select electronic components based on performance specifications, cost, and availability.
  • Liaise with production and purchasing departments
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements to inform component choices.

5. Documentation

  • Create , review and maintain comprehensive documentation for electronic designs, including schematics, BOMS (Bill of Materials) and design specification.
  • Generate reports and documentation for testing, validation and troubleshooting activities.

6. Troubleshooting and Debugging

  • Identify and resolve issues through systematic troubleshooting and debugging of electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and correct issues in a timely manner.

7. Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure electronic designs comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Participate in the certification and testing processes required for regulatory compliance.

 

What we will love about your background: 

  • Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) electronics and wireless communication.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems programming (C/C++).
  • Exposure to industrial automation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing and reliability analysis.
  • Exposure to Agile development environment and Atlassian Jira.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electronic circuit design and development.
  • Proficiency in using electronic design automation (EDA) tools.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics principles.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and programmable logic devices.
  • Experience with design tools, in particular Altium 365.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
