Senior Engineer - R&D

Role Summary
The Senior Engineer – R&D contributes to research and development initiatives, actively participating in product development, innovation projects, and the creation of cutting-edge solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to project timelines, and a focus on delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development and Innovation

• Contribute to the analysis of customer requirements and the development of new products or enhancements.
• Participate in projects aimed at redesigning and modernizing existing products.
• Creating detailed drawings and models, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.

• Documentation and Technical Specifications

• Support the creation of comprehensive product documentation, including specifications and installation manuals.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed technical specifications and calculations.
• Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing projects or components. summarize scientific and engineering principles in an easy to understand. Continuous improvement without affecting the quality is the part of your job.

Key Competences

1. 2D/3D Modeling: Familiarity with 2D software, especially AutoCAD. 3D modelling software (SolidWorks) is an added advantage. Create detailed drawings and layout models using CAD software.
2. Project Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders. Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
3. Technical Understanding: Contribute to design improvements based on customer feedback and manufacturing constraints. Good knowledge of drives & Controllers (Programming and altering the codes), PLC Programming, Preparation of wiring harness, selection of electrical items as per the application, Troubleshooting of Electrical issues. Resolution of Field issues, Integration of different application.
4. Technical Documentation: Assist in creating clear and detailed product documentation. Good understanding of the current development in electrical segments. Use New technologies.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

2. Experience: 6-7 years of experience in R&D preferably in Material Handling Equipment/ Dock and building Equipment.
3. Technical Skills: Good knowledge of 2D drawing Software. Good Knowledge of Electrical & GD&T Symbols.
4. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
