Senior Engineer - R&D

Role Summary
The R&D Engineer contributes to research and development initiatives, actively participating in product development, innovation projects, and the creation of cutting-edge solutions. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to project timelines, and a focus on delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development and Innovation

• Contribute to the analysis of customer requirements and the development of new products or enhancements.
• Participate in projects aimed at redesigning and modernizing existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Operations, and Sales, to support the development of market-driven offerings.

• Cost Management and Planning

• Assist in understanding costs associated with product development.
• Contribute to the planning process, including budget development and operational planning.

• Documentation and Technical Specifications

• Support the creation of comprehensive product documentation, including specifications and installation manuals.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed technical specifications and calculations.

• Root Cause Analysis and Testing

• Participate in root cause analysis for field/customer issues.
• Assist in the development of tests for required certifications and declarations.

Key Competences

1. 3D Modeling: Familiarity with 3D modeling software, especially SolidWorks.
2. Project Support: Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
3. Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of various production technologies.
4. Technical Documentation: Assist in creating clear and detailed product documentation.
5. Root Cause Analysis: Willingness to learn and contribute to identifying and addressing issues in development.
6. Testing Support: Assist in testing and certification processes.

Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Experience: 6-8 years of experience in Research and Development preferably in Material Handling Equipment/ Dock Equipment.
3. Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks) and project support.
4. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
