As the Process Engineer for the Identification Technologies (IDT) Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, part of HID Global, you will be responsible for supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing process development, packaging design, production hardware setup, process documentation, and engineering data management within Oracle EBS and Agile PLM.
This role works closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, repeatable, and ready for production release.

HID Industrial Smart Components (ISC)
The Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, within IDT, is a global leader in producing standard and custom passive RFID tags and labels for the industry & logistics, healthcare, animal identification, and fueling automation markets. We operate manufacturing sites in Malaysia, China, and the United States.
As our Process Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI).
• Define process flow, manufacturing routings, workstation requirements, and cycle times.
• Support pilot builds, engineering builds, and production readiness activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with engineering teams.
• Design product packaging solutions for manufacturing, storage, and transportation.
• Create packaging drawings, specifications, labels, and shipping documentation.
• Set up and validate manufacturing equipment and production hardware including ultrasonic welding machines, assembly fixtures and jigs, glue and epoxy dispensing systems, torque- controlled electric screwdrivers, heat staking equipment, production tooling, and support fixtures.
• Define machine parameters and torque specifications according to product requirements.
• Support equipment commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and operator training.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration requirements for process equipment and fixtures.
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flow charts, manufacturing routings, cycle time studies, user guides, manuals, process specifications, and setup instructions.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is accurate, controlled, and aligned with mfg processes.
• Upload, maintain, and manage manufacturing engineering data within Oracle EBS and Agile PLM including manufacturing BOMs, packaging BOMs, finished goods structures, routings, work instructions, and process-related documentation.
• Ensure engineering data accuracy and revision control compliance.
• Support CNC machining activities including setup, programming, fixture prep, and training
• Support prototype manufacturing and engineering sample builds.
• Provide technical support to production operators, supervisors, and engineering teams.
Your Experience and Background include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering within manufacturing
• Experience supporting NPI and manufacturing process development.
• Experience designing and validating jigs, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Experience with packaging design and technical drawings.
• Experience with ERP and PLM systems, preferably Oracle EBS and Agile PLM.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience supporting CNC machining operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of ultrasonic welding, adhesive and epoxy dispensing, mechanical assembly, torque-controlled fastening, and heat staking.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to perform cycle time analysis and process optimization.
• Familiar with engineering documentation control practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with Oracle EBS, Agile PLM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Illustrator.
