We are looking for a QA Engineer to strengthen our test team focused on manual testing of biometric systems (fingerprint, face recognition, etc.). You will be responsible for executing tests, preparing test environments, and collaborating closely with developers to identify and resolve defects.

You will be involved in the full test lifecycle of a variety of software and hardware components, including biometric libraries, drivers, middleware, and applications. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and structured thinking are key to success.

As our Software QA Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Participating in test planning and creation of test cases
• Execute functional, regression and exploratory tests
• Setting up and maintaining test environments (primarily Windows and Linux)
• Analyzing issues, document defects and verify fixes
• Collaborating with developers and QA automation engineers
• Contributing to test documentation and reports 

Your Experience and Background include:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 2–4 years of experience in manual software testing
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. TestRail, Jira)
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
• Ability to reproduce and isolate issues effectively

Soft skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to cooperate
• Structured and reliable approach to testing

Optional Skills (nice to have):

• Experience with Android/iOS testing
• Familiarity with virtual machines (VMware/Docker)
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python or others)
