Supervisor, FlashShip

 

The FlashShip Supervisor will oversee fulfilment operations of an industry leading quick ship program.  The Supervisor will be responsible for the on-time delivery, inventory management, customer relationships, collaboration with existing FlashShip sites, and efficient operational performance of the FlashShip operation in Phoenix, AZ.

In accordance with company guidelines and expectations, this role will ensure proper training and compliance with safety and quality standards as well as company policies and procedures through team leadership and interactive communication with employees. 

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Oversee entire FlashShip operation
  • Communicate directly with customers, Customer Service and Sales to manage questions, challenges and opportunities
  • Direct employee(s) as required to ensure compliance with customer demands
  • Ensure employee(s) have sufficient training and instruction to satisfactorily meet the safety and quality requirements for all assigned operations
  • Track employee performance to established standards and provide feedback on performance within a timely manner
  • Provide employees with coaching as necessary or corrective disciplinary action per Company Policy
  • Review and approve assigned employees’ timecards
  • Manage inventory receiving into ERP (JD Edwards)
  • Collaborate with Inventory Analyst on purchasing, ensure sufficient inventory to meet customer demand across multiple brands
  • Work with Company management for all brands to manage lead times and ensure accurate stocking levels
  • Assist other FlashShip locations with order fulfilment
  • Will be responsible to actively focus on reducing workplace hazards
  • Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy
  • Will be a safety coach for their teams and be required to participate in the overall safety program of the workplace

Education:

Must have high school diploma or GED

Degree in Business Management or other related field preferred

 

Experience and skills:

Three to five years’ experience in supervision in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Computer skills:  ERP, UPS Worldship, Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel

Other:

Ability to effectively communicate with employees in group or individual meetings on such matters as departmental goals, work assignments, quality, safety, attendance, work performance, discipline, training, etc, and to maintain related records

Ability to meet deadlines and schedules in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated sense of urgency concerning employee, customer, and inventory issues

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cooperate professionally with all associates, customers, suppliers, etc

Self-motivated, strong work ethic, good attendance record, positive attitude, tactful

Demonstrates concern for schedule attainment, flexible and willing to fill in duties where necessary

Accepts coaching and willing to be trained in the necessary areas to be proficient

Must be safety conscientious of self and others

Able to read and write professionally

Must be able to exhibit good inter-personal skills

Must be oriented to thrive in a team environment whereby the collective efforts of the entire group achieve a common goal

Must have ability to step in as backup to all roles supervised, including pick/pack/ship, receiving, purchasing, and order entry
