SOFTWARE TRAINING SPECIALIST

The Software Training Specialist will assist in the development and execution of training plans for ASSA ABLOY software applications.  In addition, the Software Training Specialist will facilitate and deliver training classes to ASSA ABLOY customers throughout the United States. The Software Training Specialist will also assist in collecting training course feedback and identifying future training opportunities. 

 

SOFTWARE TRAINING SPECAILIST DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Become expert in the purpose, features and functions of complex software applications and how they are intended to be used by customers.
  • Assess internal and external customer training needs; maintain training records.
  • Plan, prepare, and schedule necessary training.
  • Organize and promote courses.
  • Develop and deliver programs of learning activities.
  • Prepare teaching/course materials.
  • Works closely with Training Manager to review and approve content delivery.
  • Instruct users on an individual or group basis by in person or web training
  • Apply new technologies to deliver courses and improve the learning experience for users (e.g., YouTube channel, web training, training videos, etc.).
  • Assess training effectiveness and provide areas for improvement to the Training Manager.
  • Looks for ways to maximize training time and overall training experience for software application users.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Training Manager and software development team.
     

SOFTWARE TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in the Door and Hardware or Construction Industry is a plus.  Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential. Strong organizational, planning, and motivational skills are desired. Ability to set up and use audiovisual equipment is required. Knowledge of and experience with presentation software is necessary. Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Must be willing to travel extensively to provide internal and external customer training.
