SUMMARY:

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for machining production parts and reworking out-of-spec supplier parts to print dimensions using appropriate equipment, tools, and processes. Depending on your experience, you may also build fixtures for assembly and prototypes for engineering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:

• Read, understand, and communicate blueprint detail
• CNC programming of multi-axis vertical and horizontal mills and machining centers
• Set up, operate, and maintain machining equipment including CNC machining centers, manual mills, saws, presses, drills and other equipment.
• Design and craft fixtures to improve machining center volume and productivity where appropriate
• Proficient use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and tools
• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. 

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

• Will be required to interact with manufacturing software throughout the day for the job schedule and work order execution

Other Skills

• Ability to use all varieties of hand and machine tools

This role is in-person only. No remote work.
