Applications Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Applications Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing various access control power supplies and supporting software platforms. You will utilize your expertise in software development, programming, and technical communication to meet client needs and support the implementation of innovative solutions while providing technical support for software and network-related issues.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Technical Product Development: Plan, design, develop, redesign, and enhance various technology products, including power supplies and IOT devices, ensuring they meet client specifications and business goals.

 

Software Development: Apply your knowledge of software and programming to develop, test, and optimize systems, delivering the desired outcomes for clients while following secure SDLC and cyber security frameworks.    

 

Technical Support: Provide technical support for software and network-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop troubleshooting plans.

 

Software Installation & Configuration: Install and configure software applications on various systems.

 

Testing and Validation: Test and validate software releases to ensure they meet quality standards.

 

Remote and On-Site Support: Support enterprise customers addressing technical issues and providing solutions.

 

Product Design and Documentation: Participate in product design and documentation reviews to contribute technical expertise.

 

Networking Expertise: Understand and troubleshoot TCP/IP, HTTPS, DHCP, SNMP, SPI, STMP, digital certificates. Possess primary skills in Networking, Routing & Switching, LAN, WAN.   Administer both Windows and Linux-based systems as well as interact with AWS cloud technologies.

 

Electrical and Electronics Knowledge: Possess knowledge of electrical and electronics products, including Ohm's Law, Voltage, Current, and a basic understanding of power supply circuitry.

 

Electronic Skills: Have basic electronic skills, such as reading schematics and PCB layouts, using a multi-meter and scope, and troubleshooting circuit boards.

 

Knowledge of CAD is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in applications engineering or a similar technical role.
  • Or any appropriate combination of education and/or experience demonstrating capability for role 
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in software development and programming including SQL, Golang, C++, and C#, and code versioning technologies such as GIT or SVN
