Jerith Manufacturing, LLC an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Controller.  This individual will manage the month-end closing and reporting process.  Provide direct financial support to the group’s VP of Finance and other group finance team members as required.  Prepare detailed scenarios and forecasts as required.

 

What you will be doing:

 

 

  • Manage all month-end close deliverables to allow critical month-end close deadlines to be met, while serving as a liaison between Jerith and the Ameristar Perimeter Security Segment (PSS).  The 2-day month-end close cycle, plus the following 5-days reporting and analysis cycle, may require significant overtime.
  • Very close collaboration with the VP of Finance and the group finance team to ensure documented procedures issued by Corporate are adhered to and providing complete and accurate financial data in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).  Review all financial data loaded in HFM for reasonableness and accuracy and generate monthly financial reporting package (LockPack) for the management team.
  • Coordinate weekly/monthly/annual forecasting and planning for Jerith.
  • Exercise independent judgment & identify/implement processes improvements related to the standardization of reporting
  • Maintain and update financial planning models/templates and monitor/analyze Jerith financial results and trends
  • Coordinate and participate in monthly financial webcasts with Ameristar Executive Team
  • Load financial data and other data (P&L, Balance Sheet, Headcount, Fill Rate, etc) into HFM for Jerith
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and special projects as defined by the Senior Controller, VP of Finance and the needs of the business
  • Propose methods of increasing the accuracy of our inventory accounting and financial reporting by reviewing current costing methods, controls and procedures and initiating special analysis
  • Work closely with production floor management representatives in analyzing questionable production/support practices by spending some time in production and support areas.
  • Actively participate and/or coordinate in the annual physical inventory.
  • Purchasing/supply chain management support
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The skills and experience you need:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business required
  • 7 - 10 years relevant business experience with a complete understanding of all financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow)
  • Systems experience:  Extremely strong Excel skills; experience with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management); experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred); experience with reporting tools (Power BI or Business Objects); proficiency with other MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint & Access)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with various levels within the organization including senior leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis, and validation, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information
  • Limited travel required
