Quality Environmental Health Safety Manager North America
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Hangar Large Application Doors (HLAD) in Peachtree City, Georgia is searching for the right person with the "Drive for Excellence in Quality, Safety & Sustainability" for our QEHS manager role.
Position Summary:
Your role as Quality ,Safety, Health and Environmental Manager is to lead and oversee all the quality processes within the group comprising Manufacturing / Supply Chain Operations as well as the Sales Companies and Installation. The successful candidate is expected to utilize and optimize a variety of measures and management systems, including the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, total quality management (TQM), as well as continuous improvement processes. In short to install a total quality culture throughout the organization.
In this position, you will report to the President/GM of HLAD, North America and will be based in Peachtree City, GA. Due to the nature of the role up to 25% travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improving the Company's Quality procedures, standards and specifications by being visible at the shopfloor and action in a hands-on manner
- Driving and owning the entire claim handling- and corrective action process
- Working with local functions and setting Quality standards throughout the group
- Coach/support manufacturing and sales regarding ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certification
- Performing Quality and Environmental related reporting
- Work closely with Plant Manager and production team to ensure process compliance, healthy safety culture and consistent product quality.
- Actively lead Safety Committee including monthly meetings, accident and near miss investigations and all required reporting.
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
- Monitoring performance by developing and publishing proper KPI’s
- Support manufacturing and office team as Epicor/ERP administrator.
- Working closely with the Sales Companies to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information and follow up and act on any issues in a professional and coordinated manner.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Manufacturing or industrial science, with an excellent understanding of quality management practices or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience of leading a Quality Organization in a Manufacturing/Engineering organization
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Experience in leading and driving a ISO14001 and ISO 9001
