Order Picker (kitting)

 

SUMMARY

Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements. Ensure that orders are accurate. Stages items correctly for delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements
•Ensures that orders are accurate
•Stages items correctly for delivery
•Operates forklifts
•Operates material handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
•Stock replenishment
•Shrink wraps products to pallets
•Loads delivery vehicles
•Packs warehouse orders as necessary
•Performs other general warehouse duties as needed

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Proficiency in SolidWorks required.  Experience with AutoCAD and Pro-Engineering is a plus.

Strong analytical/theoretical background with solid engineering design fundamental skills

Experience working on projects, from specification through to execution required

Experience with design for manufacture required (sheet steel fabrication a plus)

Exceptional communication and time management skills

Commitment to meet schedule due dates

Positive, ambitious attitude

Experienced with Microsoft Office products

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•GED or Higher
•Computer literate is a plus but not required
•Forklift experience a plus but not required

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Warehouse hours, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for up to ten (10) hour periods of time, work with hand and power tools as required
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
