We know how to make an entrance!  ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Inc, business segment Industrial (HLAD) Hangar Large Application Door  in Peachtree City, Georgia sells, custom builds, installs and provides services for shipyard, hangar, mining and other facilities that need doors to fit and secure for their large openings. 

HLAD is currently looking to fill open positions for field service technicians.

SUMMARY

Perform preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modernization projects, commissioning support, and service work on hangar and large application door systems throughout the United States.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL FIELD OPERATIONS SUPPORT

Field Operations personnel support installation, service, inspection, modernization, commissioning, warranty, and repair activities. While primarily assigned to service functions, technicians may support installations, startup activities, and other field operation’s needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform PM inspections and condition assessments.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, structural, electrical, and control system issues.

• Complete repairs, upgrades, reskins, and modernization projects.

• Read drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.

• Develop repair recommendations and customer solutions.

• Support installation and commissioning activities as required.

• Complete service reports, expenses, and field documentation.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets.

• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist.

• Other tasks assigned by Field Operations Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and reporting tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to communicate technical challenges and troubleshooting.

• Possess problem resolution skills and can work collaboratively with others.

• Ability to work independently in remote locations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Hands-on experience in industrial or commercial construction, mechanical or electrical systems, maintenance, door systems, ironworking, structural steel, or related trades preferred. Experience as an Ironworker, Millwright, Electrician, or similar skilled trades professional is highly valued.

TRAVEL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• 85-90%+ travel. Ability to access military & restricted government facilities (required: US citizen or green card holder)

• Typical schedule averages 18 consecutive days on assignment followed by 3 days at home.

• Ability to work regularly at heights exceeding 100 feet.

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

• Work in aviation, military, manufacturing, shipbuilding, mining, and industrial facilities.
