PURPOSE OF THE ROLE |
To drive Impro and ASSA ABLOY Digital Access Solutions (DAS) sales growth across Sub‑Saharan Africa, including SADC countries. The position focuses on opening new markets, developing long‑term client relationships, and expanding DAS and Impro’s presence across the region. As the role evolves, it may grow to include Impro‑specific international sales growth outside the SADC/Sub‑Saharan markets. From time to time, the consultant may also be required to support the Gauteng and KZN regions. The focus is on engaging with end‑users across key vertical markets, system integrators, and consultants/specifiers/engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES |
Key Responsibilities:
New Business & Market Development across Sub‑Saharan Africa
- Identify, prioritise, and secure new business opportunities in SADC and broader Sub‑Saharan African markets.
- Build market awareness for DAS and Impro solutions through active prospecting and market education.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline targeting a variety of vertical markets.
Customer & Influencer Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with system integrators, consulting engineers, specifiers, and end‑users across key verticals.
- Conduct presentations, discovery sessions, and solution briefings aligned to regional needs.
- Facilitate training, demonstrations, and solution awareness programs.
Collaboration & Solution Support
- Work closely with product managers, engineering, and internal teams to ensure strong solution design and tender responses.
- Assist consultants and end‑users with BOQs, specifications, and system design inputs.
Sales Discipline
- Maintain accurate reporting, CRM updates, activity tracking, and forecasting.
- Prepare forecasts, pipeline reports, and market feedback for internal planning.
- Travel regularly across SADC and Sub‑Saharan territories.
Minimum Activity
- Maintain consistent monthly customer engagements within the export regions.
- Build and manage a pipeline achieving at least 4× sales target coverage.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE |
Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Matric
- Previous exposure to sales, business development, or customer facing roles.
- Basic technical curiosity or interest in digital or electronic solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
- Ability to travel for customer visits, events, and industry engagements.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license
