HID’s Software Engineering Department: 

As a member of the Software Engineering department, you will be responsible for architecting, and delivering end-to-end new technical solutions in the Biometrics applications space. This includes defining, designing, developing, documenting, and supporting the new enrollment application visions of Product Management. The role requires exercise of discretion and independent judgement in evaluation of requirements, architecting, determining, and implementing an optimum approach/solution and related documentation by applying system analysis techniques and procedures. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Business leaders, Product Managers, Engineering, and other internal teams.

As our Senior Software Architect, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Contributing to and adhering to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application controls.
• Providing oversight on development and delivery of application solutions and enhancements
• Ensuring consistent application code integrity, confirm documentation of capabilities, and participate in code reviews.
• Acting as the SME and provide guidance to development and QA teams.
• Architecting, designing, developing, unit testing and deploying new business functionality.
• Collaborating with Product Management to analyze requirements, gather the level of estimates (LOE), and ensure the success all the way through the end with final acceptance by stakeholders.
• Providing project implementation oversight, support, including testing of new features, interfaces, and other system changes
• Guiding in the design, development, testing and deployment of new business functionality
• Providing guidance on how technology solutions could help solve business and technical problems, evolve existing business capabilities, and enable new business capabilities.
• Providing functional and technical support for both application and business process issues
• Understanding, performing, and coordinating the analysis and design of business systems solution

What we will love about your background: 

• Strong Technical & Functional Specification Document Writing, Requirement Analysis, and Project Planning skills
• Knowledge of Miro, Confluence, and Jira tools
• Ability to make reasoned decisions between competing choices based on limited information.
• Strong ability to handle multiple projects at a time with strong negotiation skills
• Strong Analytical Skills; able to identify project problems and resolutions quickly.

Your Experience and Education include:             

• B B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years software development experience
• 10+ years Biometrics Industry experience
• Scrum Master (CSM) and SAFe® 5 Agilist (SA) Certifications preferred.
• Experience implementing software development process and process improvement.
• Experience with multiple software engineering methodologies
• Experience with multiple software languages, deep working knowledge of C#.
