As the Senior Manager of Operations, you will contribute to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of HID EAT Biometric BU business segment. You will be responsible for reviewing and executing strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive sustainable growth. Your leadership and managerial skills will be key in coordinating cross-functional teams, aligning goals, and ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations. The Snr Manager of Operations will report directly to the Senior Director Operation in the Biometric BU.

 

On top of increasing the level of Customer Satisfaction and improving Operation process Efficiency through focused Supply Chain management. The Snr Manager of Operation will also manage the Contract Manufacturer as it is a key element of our success! You need to focus on CM delivery, Quality and cost to ensure we meet our delivery and revenue target.

Inventory Control, Cost management in PBG, and PPV management are key points to our CM management. Additionally, the Operations Snr Manager will assist with Sales and Planning on Operations revenue alignment by conducting regular analysis of month-to-date revenue, order backlog, at risk orders plus consideration of future orders to project end of month revenue position and Inv projection.

 

He/She will also foster data driven decision making by using Pareto and Trend Analysis along with associated Action Plans to ensure continuous improvement of On Time Delivery, Inventory Management and Optimize Cost control. Weekly review of CM yield is critical to our success.

 

This Snr Manager is also the key focus person for any NPI program transfer to CM. He/she will manage the Mfg Engineering team and collaborate with the Engineering team to setup the line. He/she also ensure proper training are carried out at CM to ensure production lines are ready for ramp up and mass production. Review and setup control plan for critical process to ensure FMEA, CPK and necessary statistics program are deployed to control the process.

 

 

As our Senior Manager, Operations, you’ll support HID’s success by:

 

Tactical Planning:

  • Assessing and identifying areas for improvement in operational processes, policies, and systems.
  • Proposing and executing initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality while reducing costs.
  • NPI coordinates for purchasing, forecast and capacity.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Providing strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruiting, training, and developing talented individuals to build a high-performing operations team.
  • Establishing clear performance expectations, monitoring progress, and providing regular feedback to team members.
  • Working with Engineering team on VA/VE program.

 

Process Optimization:

  • Conducting comprehensive analyses of existing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Implementing process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and eliminate redundancies.
  • Resource management in PBG to ensure smooth operation of shipment.

 

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance.
  • Monitoring and analyzing operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Preparing regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting operational performance, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Managing monthly Inventory projection for public product line.
  • Implementing new measures to control inventory purchase, ensure meeting Inventory projection.
  • Tracking of PPV and working with supplier to minimize PPV cost.

 

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identifying operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implementing robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets, data, and information.
  • Leading the purchasing team on any shortage and provide risk assessment to management on shortage and cost.
  • Leading the Ops team for any Quality related issue with Engineering.

 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to align operational objectives and initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Communicating operational updates, challenges, and strategic plans to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Leading for ops on any acquisition activities.

  • Familiarity with Agile PLM is required.
  • Must have a desire to provide the customer with high quality products, on time, every time.
  • Understand and actively demonstrate the principles of HID Global customer centricity policy.

 

Your Experience and Education include:

 

  • BS in Business or Industrial Engineering with a preference for planning & logistics management.
  • Min 5 years Biometric knowledge is preferred.
  • Min 5 years CM management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in SMT and Semi-conductor processes is preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role overseeing operations, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Minimum 5 years supply chain / planning experience required.
