HID’s Implementation Department: 

HID Global/Crossmatch is seeking a new team member in our Implementation delivery team who will provide software configuration and validation services for our customers per their requirements. The ideal candidate will use their technical acumen and customer service skills to gather final customer requirements, configure software per requirements, and gain customer acceptance of the software prior to it being handed off to and installed by our delivery team.

 


As our Implementation Configuration Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Gain and maintain knowledge of assigned customers' technical and business environment(s).
  • Install and maintain internal Virtual Machines for installation, configuration, and validation.
  • Gather and document any low-level requirements not identified through the pre-sales cycle.
  • Modify software base configuration through configuration file modifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Gain customer acceptance of configured software.
  • Check configuration files into Engineering repository and fully document changes.
  • Provide effective and consistent communication to management, peers, and account team in support of customer.
  • Serve as backup to the Implementation delivery team by being prepared and capable to install, configure, and validate software solutions in our customers’ environments.
  • Take ownership for front line service and support to internal and external customers.

 

 

What we will love about your background: 

  • Understanding of set up and general administration of servers, PCs, networks, and firewalls.
  • Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services.
  • Knowledge of VM technologies and SQL Server.
  • Familiar with XML and JSON formatted documents.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Team Foundation Server preferred.
  • Understanding of source control using Git.
  • Working technical knowledge of Internet browsers including Edge, Chrome, and Firefox.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn complex software tools quickly.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in technology and our products.
  • Ability to take the lead on special projects and be point person driving them to completion.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

  • BS Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent 5 years related experience.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Professional demeanor to maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Ability to define solutions to problems of minor to intermediate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience using Notepad, Visual Studio Code, Notepad++.
  • Conduct sanity check on certified packages before delivery to client.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the system and disseminate client feedback to the relevant departments within the organization.
